Poor customer service
They recently added a new team member, but much of the communication consisted of “my boss said,” leading to considerable misinformation and inconsistent messages. After hours, we took a tour, which was convenient, but then Kayla mentioned that her boss had said she would “waive” the application and administrative fee today. I completed the application, only to find that it was still asking me to pay the fee. She called her boss to inquire about waiving it, then instructed me to pay for it,... promising she would cancel the transaction on her end. She even showed me on her computer that it was canceled, but it hadn't actually been, as the charge still hit my bank account.
When I called two days later to check on the status of my application and the promised credit, she confirmed that I had been approved “with flying colors,” though she seemed irritated. I received two duplicate “Welcome Home” emails, but the follow-up with the leasing agreement never arrived. They appeared upset that they were mistaken and had no way to rectify the situation, leaving me feeling ignored. I believe that as an applicant, transparency is crucial, and I hope that no one else has to endure this experience.
